Ismail…constructed the house for his fiancee Amina in 1998. He wanted the house to express his love for her and there fore carefully composed it by chosing eminent Moroccain artists to decorate it. It soutdoor center consists of a beautifully shaded garden wherea big fountain never stops its singing competition with the birds. Its atrium was built around a big and cozy fireplace to warm his wife in winter. It was plastered by eminent stucco artists coming from all over Morocco .
The tiles are handmade, the doors are made of cedarwood and sculptured by local artists, the green tiles on the roofs are made by aritst fromTamegroute. Jasmin trees wereplanted all around to seduce Amina.
The couple got married in 2000, had 4 children and happily lived there until 2005. By then Ismail realized that his eldest daughter Nouhayla was very intelligent and needed better schooling than Zagora could offer. He decided to send her to school in Marrakech and moved there with his family.
Nonetheless, Ismail continued doing business in Zagora. Since the house was far too big for him self alone, he decided to rent it out to friends and passer-bys, who he considered as successors to his happy family life. All rooms are named after his children and he personnally cares for the well being of his guests .
